How to download videos to your tablet device

1. Blackberry Playbook

 

a. Without a computer.

 

Using e-mail or other communications sent this link to the device and open it. http://customers.intersurgical.com/downloads/videos/ ...

 

..or open the internet browser and type in the link address.

 

Follow the links to your desired videos.

 

Select a file you want that ends 540p.mp4. When prompted rename the file if you wish and select save. The file will be downloaded to the downloads folder on your Playbook but will also be added to your 'All Videos' library.

 

b. Using a computer.

 

You computer must have the blackberry Playbook software installed.

 

Connect your Playbook to your computer using the Micro USB cable.

 

The Playbook will display a computer connection screen.

 

The PC will ask for your Playbook password if you have set one up. If so, enter your password.

 

The Playbook will show up as a device.

 

 

Using your computer browser go to the link http://customers.intersurgical.com/downloads/videos/

 

Follow the links to find the video link you want. Select only  _540p.mp4 versions.

 

Right click on the link and, depending on your browser select 'Save Target As' 'Save Link As'  or 'Download Linked File As'.

 

Navigate to your Playbook device,'Video' folder and save the files there.

 


2. i-pad

 

To put videos onto an i-pad you must have a computer with i-tunes installed on it.

 

The video's you put onto your i-pad must be on a local drive. They will not synchronise otherwise.

 

Now select a folder or create a new one. For example create a new folder called 'Intersurgical vids' inside 'My Documents' it is important to remember where this folder is.

 

Using your computer browser go to the link http://customers.intersurgical.com/downloads/videos/

 

Follow the links to find the video link you want.

 

Right click on the link and, depending on your browser select 'Save Target As' 'Save Link As'  or 'Download Linked File As'.

 

Navigate to your Library Folder and save the file there.

 

In i-tunes click 'File' then 'Add Folder to Library'.

 

Navigate to your Library Folder and click 'ok'.

 

Connect your i-pad to your i-tunes computer. You may need to enter your password.

 

The device will appear under Devices. Click on your device.

 

At the top below the apple logo select 'Films'.

 

Check the box Sync Films, and 'Automatically include all films' Then click 'Apply' in the bottom left.

 

To add more films to the i-pad simply put them you Library folder and i-tunes click 'File' then 'Add Folder to Library' and choose you Library folder.

 

 

3. Android

 

a. Without a computer.

..or open the internet browser and type in the link address.

 

Follow the links to your desired videos. Select only  _540p.mp4 versions unless you suspect you device supports other formats.

 

Press and hold on the link until you get an action menu. Select 'Save link'. You should see that the file has started downloading. When it has completed it will be automatically added to your 'Video' library or 'Gallary'. The file will be located in your device 'download' folder should you wish to access it from a PC.

 

b. Using a computer.

 

You computer should automatically recognise your android device as an external device when connected using the USB cable provided.

 

The PC may ask for your Device password if you have set one up. If so, enter your password.

 

Look at your drives. On a Windows PC these can be accessed by clicking 'Start' then 'Computer'.

 

Double click on your Android device.

 

Locate the Video folder and note or copy the folder path.

 

Using your computer browser go to the link http://customers.intersurgical.com/downloads/videos/

 

Follow the links to find the video link you want. Select only  _540p.mp4 versions unless you suspect you device supports other formats.

 

Right click on the link and, depending on your browser select 'Save Target As' 'Save Link As'  or 'Download Linked File As'.

 

Navigate to your device video folder and save the files there.

 

If you have a MicroSD card slot on your device and computer then you can simply copy videos into a 'Videos' folder in the root of the MicroSD card.
